Introduction to the course
MiR has for many years worked with dialogue meetings, where we talk about difficult topics, such as negative social control, violence in close relationships, gender equality and gaming/gambling addiction. At these meetings, we talk and share experiences, while communicating relevant research in a simple way. Attitudinal change takes place over time and some start with a small step forward and two steps back before making progress.
This course is intended for those who will lead such dialogue meetings and others who want to increase their knowledge of this methodology. Most courses have 3 modules, which are divided into lessons. Module 1 is about the method, module 2 contains the subject content (e.g. violence or negative social control etc) and module 3 deals with presentation techniques physically and digitally. Here you must also conduct a micro-teaching session to show what you have learned.
If you have completed modules 1 and 3, you can fill in with topical course modules and have dialogue meetings on different topics. In each module there are tasks to carry out either alone or in groups. After each lesson, there is a test to see what you have learned. It is also possible to send questions to the instructor along the way if you have not understood. Once you have completed all the modules, you are qualified to lead dialogue meetings for MiR (or others).
