In this course, we will work with cases and situations where you can experience racism and discrimination. The course is aimed at both the majority population and the minority population, where the goal is to familiarize yourself with the other person's perspective in order to understand them. Sometimes what you say is not meant to hurt, but it can have other consequences than you think. Majorities can discriminate against minorities, minorities can discriminate against majorities. Minorities can discriminate against other minorities and majorities can discriminate against others in the majority population. Making everyone aware of mechanisms related to why people discriminate against each other is useful knowledge that can be applied in everyday life for anyone who wants to become more inclusive and open.
